Welcome to The Peele Community College

Moodle and thepeele.co.uk Merging

This website is currently undergoing a merge with www.thepeele.co.uk to create a college website that can also be used for teaching and learning.

We are currently implementing this website as our Virtual Learning Environment, which extends the boundaries of our classrooms and enables greater flexibly in the way learning can be delivered.

The College is also developing its own PeeleTube where teachers and students can safely upload and share media they have created, opening doors for teachers to introduce PodCasting and media blogging to reinforce positive learning experiences.

A Word From Our Headteacher

Mr CharlesI am delighted that I have been appointed as Headteacher at The Peele Community College at such an important time in the life of the college. The superb GCSE results are a clear demonstration of the potential of the students from Long Sutton and the surrounding area. The recently awarded Science Specialist Status, and the exciting developments surrounding Lab 13, will enhance the learning experience for students especially in science and mathematics. The improved facilities, innovative teaching methods and continued personalised support will enable all students to achieve at the highest level possible.

The Peele Community College is very proud of the excellent GCSE results achieved by Year 11 students this year, with 46% of students gaining at least 5 GCSE A* - C grades , including Mathematics and English. I would like take this opportunity to thank all of the staff, parents and carers, students for all of their hard work in achieving the best GCSE results in the history of The Peele Community College. I am looking forward to taking the college forward to build on these successes.

by Mr Noot-Davies - Monday, 14 June 2010, 02:29 PM

Why go and see one musical when you can see several in one night? The Peele Community College are offering you the chance to experience the best that The West End and Broadway has to offer. Working in conjunction with Spalding's Act II Theatre Company, the Year 10 and 11 BTEC Performing Arts students will be staging It’s A Kind Of Musical.

Songs from all your favorite musicals will be there; ‘Grease’, ‘We Will Rock You’, ‘Mama Mia’, ‘Chess’ and many more!

Head of Drama at the college, Claire Wilkins, says ‘This is a really excellent opportunity for the students. Not only do they get to showcase their skills but they also have the opportunity to work with a professional theatre company.’

The performance will take place at the Peele Community College on Friday 25th June at 7pm. Tickets are available on the door at a cost of £4 for an adult and £2.50 for a child.
